The hotel itself is lovely, but it is let down by the service in some areas, particularly the concierge which was the among the worst I have experience in my years travelling. We were unable to use the bar or the restaurant in the hotel as they prioritise external bookings over guests. They made no offer to book/suggest an alternative. If your facilities are often booked out, wouldn't the very least you could do to be reach out to guests ahead of their visit to inform them of this and offer them the opportunity to book in advance? Especially as the restaurant and bar take up so much floor space there is almost no communal space for guests to relax in the hotel outside a few seats in the small reception. It was my partners birthday and they made no gesture to acknowledge it. We have both travelled on our birthdays for many years and this is the first time we have been to a hotel that is supposedly at this level, that hasn't at the very least left a note in the room on the day. They continually kept referring to my partner by my name, which felt amateurish. Why don't you have a proper check in ahead of time so you have as much information about your guests as possible upfront? The lighting is controlled by and iPad but it doesn't work properly. We had to get maintenance to come in a remove lightbulbs as they would not all swift off. In all, the bad started to outweigh the good, which is a real shame. Hopefully they up their game.

I took my 12 year old niece to NYC for a special birthday trip just the two of us and this hotel did not disappoint! Our butler, Warren, was amazing and welcomed us with fancy drinks and a room tour of our huge room (I'm a total hotel snob and love Four Seasons and Raffles etc so I was a bit nervous but this room was gorgeous and very big for NYC!) Shortly after we checked in room service delivered a special birthday package for my niece with all kinds of goodies. They even left a nice birthday card. She was thrilled and I felt like such a cool aunt! Thank you Fifth Avenue Hotel and Warren for helping make our trip incredible!

I had an amazing stay at the 5th Avenue Hotel! From the moment we arrived and were greeted with delicious lemon cookies, we felt welcomed. We were even upgraded, which was such a lovely surprise. Our butler, Warren, went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and his attention to detail made the stay unforgettable. The restaurant was top-notch, offering a fantastic breakfast and perfect late-night drinks. Highly recommend!

I arrived at the hotel at 4:00 PM (well past the official check-in time), after more than 18 hours journey, only to be told by the receptionist that my room was not ready. When I asked when it would be available, he couldn’t provide a clear answer and simply repeated that the room was “being inspected.” After waiting for about 30–40 minutes in the lobby, I was finally handed my room keys without so much as an apology or any form of compensation for the delay. It was a poor first impression, especially considering the hotel’s reputation and price point. I genuinely hope the management improves communication and customer service at the front desk to ensure a smoother experience for future guests.

My husband Kevin and I recently stayed at The Fifth Avenue Hotel and had the most incredible experience. The staff throughout the property are so kind, meticulous about providing exceptional service, and have good energy. Our first night there, we enjoyed cocktails at The Portrait Bar and had a wonderful conversation with Liam about spirits at the bar; he is a master of his craft! Maria's service was fantastic, and we enjoyed eating lunch there as well. Cafe Carmellini is a stunning restaurant onsite, and the food is a work of art! Everything we enjoyed was delicious. Rafael took care of us, and his energy and service were terrific. The design is immaculate, and our room was so beautiful. It felt like the most peaceful retreat after exploring the city all day. We will absolutely stay here again and cannot recommend it enough! Thank you to everyone at The Fifth Avenue hotel for an unforgettable experience.
