  We lived at The Bryn for 27 months, and our experience was extremely disappointing and unsafe. For over 3 months, we dealt with a rodent infestation before management finally acted. Even more serious is the ongoing mold issue throughout the apartment. Management gets defensive when you try to resolve these problems. Their solution? Simply painting over visible mold damage in the bathroom instead of fixing the underlying cause. Also I attached the mold protocol which one bathroom windows and turn on ceiling fans but we have neither and you have to buy your own humidifier. Also if you are having health issues due to this you can't break the lease because it's not their responsibility. We discovered a mushroom growing on our window sill due to the moisture, and one tenant was diagnosed with mold in their lungs. Shockingly, management showed zero concern or responsibility for that tenant’s health. We’ve had to stay in hotels several times because the conditions were so poor. On top of that, there’s no heat control in the winter—it’s either freezing or unbearably hot, forcing us to run an air conditioner even during cold months. Between the rodents, mold, lack of climate control, and management’s total disregard for tenant health and safety, I strongly urge you not to rent here. These are serious issues that should not be ignored. Plus many more issues but seems minor compared to these. Update I just received an email from management they didn't visually see signs of mold. The mushroom and a tenant being diagnosed with mold in their lungs is not a mold issue???? In addition we spoke to upper management and they are defensive condensing and rude! They don't want to resolve any issues they just want your money. They don't care about the health and safety of the tenants.

  I love my apartment. Thank you, Horizon!!!!! Did some DIY as seen in the photos (but all renter-friendly) and stunning even without them. Cheers Kim, Adriana, Latrice, Dennis and Alex and the entire crew for making this place a positive, welcoming environment that is worth every penny. I replaced my previous review with this one by mistake but even a year later my rating stands at 5 stars. Scratch that: 10 stars. Nah—a million. Is that a thing? Wish it was. I’m a realtor. I don’t work for this company—this review is 100% legit. I wouldn’t live anywhere else. Honestly. Ever. The impeccable attention to detail regarding the aesthetics, cleanliness, on site-management and maintenance is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I know my options and I’d live here forever if they’ll let me. They better I absolutely recommend The Bryn. I adore both the staff and tenants as they are all equally amazing. I’m humbled to call 5600 N Sheridan home. Thank you for this incredible experience from the bottom of my heart.

  I’ve been meaning to share a review on my move in at the Bryn Especially with regard to Adriana The Senior Property Manager. Adriana is One of a Kind an Exceptional Person who goes Above and Beyond in whatever tasks you ask her. She is Amazing and Awesome going out of her way to make your stay at The Bryn Amazing. Adriana Thank You for Your Excellent Attention and being an Awesome and Amazing Property Manager. I would also like to give a shout out to the Maintenance Guys Alavaro and Luis Thank You for doing an Awesome Job in getting things done in my Apartment. Adriana, Alvaro and Luis YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!
