- JWJennifer Wentroble2 days ago5.0The Brown Hotel is a great place to stay when visiting Louisville. The hotel is charming, the rooms are nice… definitely historic. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday morning and had dinner at the lobby bar. So glad we tried the ‘hot brown’ The hotel is within walking distance or a short drive to many attractions in Louisville.

The Brown Sandwich is a must they also had the best breakfast buffet I have ever seen- Brussels and butternut squash, mashed potatoes, fruit, over night oats, charcuterie, Cabernet braised short rib, eggs and omelets made to order, macarons, bagel and lox, salmon and lemon sauce, deviled eggs, and so many pastries. We also had a wonderful staff person in the lobby give us some history about the hotel while we waited to be seated for brunch.

We did not stay at the the Brown Hotel this visit but next visit we might consider staying here based off this experience...Beautiful hotel. Gracious staff. Bar area was fun to hang out and get a bite to eat. Bartender Rob from Brooklyn was the man funny,happy dude kept us entertained laughed the hole time we were at the bar...Must see when you visit Louisville. Hot brown is large enought to split and perfect drunk food!! 100% recommend!

- BTB TayOct 7, 20253.0I really wanted to love this grand old hotel but sadly I honestly couldn't. My room was lackluster at best. The location is not really close to anything of much interest and though safe during the day to walk around I as a solo female would not stray too far at night. I did walk to the bat museum one day and thoroughly enjoyed the museum and the walk. I ate breakfast there a couple times very nice then walked to McDonald's other mornings to get out and mingle and save a few $. The McDonald's was pleasant and the guy running it was on top of it! The valet service was nice, and pricey. My desire to eat at The Brown before the "restaurant" aka tables in the lobby opened at 5 left me eating at the bar disgruntled one night. The famous hot brown I would not order again...my serving had one very thick slab of turkey in it; thin slices would have been so much better. And I think slices of raw tomatoes rather than quarters of stewed tomatoes also would have been better. Overall as a Kentucky native now living elsewhere I'm glad I experienced The Brown but I doubt I would choose it again if I came back to Louisville.

The credit card provided is to guarantee your reservation only. This card will be charged a no show fee of one night room and tax if your plans change and you do not cancel your reservation. All major credit cards are accepted as payment at time of check-in. Cash is not accepted at check-in, however, we are happy to accept cash as payment at check-out.
Incidentals
A minimum hold of $40 per day, placed on your credit/debit card, is required for incidental charges.
Taxes
All room rates are subject to applicable taxes at 17.66% per room, per night.

Parking & Shuttle
Self-parking is available at $30 plus tax per night, or if you prefer, valet parking is $36 plus tax per night, Event/Day functions $14 inclusive.
We are pleased to offer our guests complimentary shuttle van service to and from the Louisville International Airport from 6am-11pm. Once you have landed, please call 502-736-2985 for shuttle pick up.
