About

VeterinarianNon-Profit Organization
The Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) saves animal lives! TCAP has been a leader in animal welfare since its formation in 2002. TCAP provides compassionate solutions to pet overpopulation and euthanasia. As a non-profit, TCAP provides the lowest prices for preventative animal care throughout North Texas. In 2007, the Humane Society of the United States named TCAP as the "most innovative approach to animal welfare in the nation." TCAP's skilled and caring veterinary team has spayed/neutered more than 540,000 animals and has vaccinated more than 1 million animals against the deadly rabies virus. TCAP's ultimate goal is to substantially reduce animal overpopulation and euthanasia throughout North Texas, while we promote animal welfare.

I always bring my own pets or any feral cats I encounter to this place. The feral animals are spayed or neutered for free; they must be brought here in a humane animal trap. The pet stays and neutered are very cheap, starting around $35 to neuter a male cat. Dog prices are also cheap. They are very low cost, very on the ball, get things done right. They offer shots and other services but are not a full-service vet. This is a place to spay and neuter animals, not a place for emergency pet services or where you would bring your pet who is sick or injured.

We took our two new kittens to be fixed and get shots. It was an excellent value and I appreciate having this service in my community! My kittens were well cared for and I got to see the veterinarian with them. Scheduling an appointment was easy on the phone. They send email reminders as well. When you get there, plan to stand in line for a bit. I waited about 20 minutes, but it was worth it considering the savings.
