At the Minnesota law office of Terzich & Ort, LLP, our divorce lawyers focus our practice exclusively on family law, representing men and women throughout the 13-county metropolitan area surrounding Minneapolis-St. Paul.

We consider ourselves problem solvers. While we have extensive trial experience and can protect your interests in family law litigation, we prefer to look at trial as one of the many options you have to accomplish your goals. Before we start on that path, we will sit down with you and identify all the different strategies for accomplishing your objectives, taking into consideration the financial and emotional costs of each approach, as well as the anticipated time frame and your likelihood of success. Though you ultimately decide how you want to proceed, we will give you our recommendations, based on years of practice experience and a comprehensive knowledge of the law and the process. In all matters, our focus will always be on doing what is best for you.
While we recognize that it is often difficult to provide an accurate estimate of the costs of legal action, we will always pay close attention to your financial concerns, making certain that the actions we take are consistent with your budget. We believe very strongly that you can often save yourself tremendous cost in the long run by spending money on legal advice upfront.

I did not feel that Shannon advocated for me in the divorce agreement nor in writing the decree. There were many things I wanted listed in the decree that I wanted my ex to help pay for with regard to our three kids that Shannon would not add. I later learned that anything and everything can be added to a decree. Additionally, Shannon did not write the decree in a way that I could enlist the help of Child Support Services to garnish my ex's wages when he chose not to pay me. Lastly, I repeatedly received duplicate charges on my bills from Terzich & Ort. I parted ways with Shannon in May of 2019 and hired another lawyer as my ex filed to take me to court. I wish I had used the other lawyer from the start.
