The prices are pretty cheap and the servings are generous. Bonus points for the operators being super pleased with my Spanish speaking skills, haha.

Only randomly discovered it on my way through from Philly to Louisiana... we got tacos to eat and more fresh home-made tamales for the road. We both loved everything! They even had a nice refreshing hibiscus drink. The atmosphere is perfect for what it is. Just a small local spot. I even loved the hand embroidered table cloth. This is now my new go to stop on 81. Looking forward to my next visit!

I’ve always been against visiting Mexican restaurants that didn’t taste like my mother’s cooking. Albeit, this establishment encompasses the very souls of my mother’s cooking. Apart from the guacamole needing a bit of salt… the entire menu is what I used to eat back home. You will not find a Michelin star restaurant anywhere else.
