Nachos with cheeze wiz! Come on, this is New Mexico. Also, fries were cold, nachos were cold, just like the beer. But of course, cold beer is great!

I’ve been going to Tap & Taco for years and always enjoyed it, but lately, it’s just not the same. After giving it chance after chance, I finally have to admit the food has gone downhill. I didn’t want to believe it, but I gave it another try tonight, and my Carne Asada tacos were full of fat. The quantity is still good, but the quality is definitely no bueno. Really disappointed to see one of my favorite spots lose the consistency it used to have.
Tap N Taco is a local fave and for good reason. The tacos, at two bucks each, are a steal, and they’re pretty good too. They put enough filling in each taco to get two tacos out of one, if you order an extra tortilla.
I have a favorite bartender here who knows how to make a good strong drink too. The place is always packed, and it’s loud, but it’s a fun place to fill up on food and booze. Other restaurants should take a page out of their book in my opinion; good food and strong drinks for cheap = lots of customers!

If I ever visit New Mexico again, Tap N Taco will be on my list to visit. The Salchicha and Asada tacos were delicious and the Mangoneada was on point. Everything was fresh and flavorful.
These tacos are amazing. At $2 a taco, you'll find yourself going up for at least one more every time you think you've finished. These tacos are loaded with meat. The service is exceptionally fast. The salsa bar is on point. Definitely recommend this place, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
