The trainers worked wonders with my dog. I have nothing bad to say about the entire experience. They were patient with him and with us as owners. My dog seemed to like them all but really responded well to Marco. Overall, a wonderful experience. Would def recommend

My pup 🐶 had an amazing experience with Taking the Lead! She walked in a ā€œreactiveā€ dog and highly anxious. As a point of info, these are TikTok buzzwords commonly used to describe animal behaviors, but it’s code for ā€œyour dog is uncomfortable and needs professional help.ā€ At the end of my baby girl’s training, I would describe her as confident šŸ˜Ž. Additionally, I am now confident that when I bring her around other dogs and in public, my dog will be cool and calm. Gone are the days when I hesitate to bring her to brunch or to the store, because I am nervous that she’ll lunge or bark at another dog. As a result, training at Taking the Lead has not only changed my dog’s behaviors, but also deepened my trust in her and totally changed our relationship! In addition to the highly personalized training assessment we got from the amazing (Google her credentials 🤩!) owner, the trainers were top notch! We were SO fortunate to get matched with Marco āœØāļø. He was encouraging, patient, kind, and an excellent educator! He REALLY understands the mind of a dog. So impressive! It’s a big deal to hand your furry baby over to another person for a day, but I had total confidence in Marco and Taking the Lead. They truly care for their fur-students. My only regret is that I didn’t send my little girl in sooner for training! Oh! And the cherry on top is that if you train with Taking the Lead, you get access to social events with other graduates! It gives us the opportunity to ā€œtune upā€ and fine tune our pup’s skills that she learned. The support that’s offered through this program is truly unmatched. Thank you Marco and Taking the Lead šŸ¾šŸ¤šŸ¾

The staff is thorough and friendly. They took the time to find out methods that worked best for our dog. We appreciate the intake on the mornings of drop off asking targeted questions about our training that week. Anthony was the primary trainer ands was very patient with our beagle. We would recommend Taking The Lead to anyone looking to improve their dogs behaviors.

We reached out to Taking the Lead for some behavioral issues with one of our dogs. We are pleased with the training Macie received there and know that she was loved on too! We could see a difference in her with just the first session. We learned a lot as her owners as well! Thank you for helping us and Macie.

Last winter, my 3 year old dog started showing some aggression towards teenage boys so I decided to look for a dog trainer that could help. I reached out to several trainers, a lot of them charging $50-$100 just to meet the dog, and then didn’t even demonstrate anything they could do for him. Then I went to Taking the Lead. We had a free evaluation and Lindsay took my dog Enzo and showed me what some of the initial training would look like. She spent a lot of time understanding our issues and really showed her knowledge and confidence in helping him. It was a no brainer for me! I also loved the day camp style training where I would learn the skills worked on that day and then have homework the rest of the week. Enzo learned so much and became an expert very quickly! I would recommend Taking the Lead to anyone looking for a dog trainer!
