Went in to order my long-missed Double Decker Supremes.
This location only has kiosks now, which I actually prefer.
Two groups had just finished ordering. Instead of moving aside, they stood blocking the area, complaining about having “to do the workers’ job.” I said excuse me. No response. I made a small wave for them to step aside.
Suddenly I was the “rude one.” Another woman chimed in with, “she has children” (kids were about 10 🙄). As if that excused them holding up the line. Then they ganged up on me.
In some bizarre Twilight Zone moment, the worker came out, instantly sided with them, and told me to leave — acting like I was about to cause damage. In my 50 years I’ve never caused property damage, let alone over tacos. I have a broken foot and arthritis from my toes to my nose, and somehow I was the threat.
The irony? These are exactly the type of people who make life hell for service workers, while I was the one kicked out for just trying to order.
We ended up going next door, got food right away, while the kiosk Karens were still waiting for their “fast food" from this slow location that caters to the drive through.
And the next day? I got my Double Deckers in the hood, where people are sane and you can actually eat in peace.
