This particular location appears to slowly be going downhill, but that's to be expected with the tihs-show that the Taco Bell corporate is. The food is hit or miss, with corporate maintaining it's major disconnect with it's target audience. (Really, why are they putting so much emphasis on menu items that failed 20 years ago, instead of offering a consistent menu that doesn't break the bank?)
Taco Bell used to be an excellent choice for those in a budget. Now, they are among the MOST expensive fast food options available. McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, and several others are far cheaper options, especially with their fantastic offers through their apps. (Most offer something like a 20-25% discount when using the app.) Taco Bell, on the other hand, not only refuses to compete using the All-Mighty-Dollar, but offers little to no discounts through their app.
Taco Bell's app, as a whole, is a complete mess. The app is slow to load, frequently boots user logins, or makes it problematic to even login, to begin with. They offer nothing close to their competitors with coupons or discounts. AND, their loyalty program is a complete joke. While others (like McDonald's or Wendy's) provide a robust system to collect points through purchases that can then be used on a large variety of menu items, Taco Bell's program is closer to a scam than anything resembling a reward.
Taco Bell requires users to reach milestones in order to make use of their points. (Typically, 500 points collected.) Once that milestone is reached, Taco Bell forces the user to convert those points into a pathetically small selection (such as a bean burrito or plain crunchy taco). They cannot save those points for a better reward later, and now only have 30 days to collect on that bean burrito, or lose the reward. Their competitors allow users 1 year to make use of their points and can turn them in for full sandwiches and other items that they would typically buy.
TLDR: Taco Bell has managed to slowly morph from a consumercentric fast food provider that focused on being a budget friendly, into a greedy and overpriced conglomerate that views their customers as little more than cattle in which to fill their already over-bloated pockets with. Their app is the worst in the fast food world, and their menu is one of the most expensive. Even their "Loyalty" program is simply a giant middle finger shoved up the noses of their customers.
