Okay, listen. We all know why we go to Taco Bell—it’s that specific, glorious, late-night craving, and the St. Joe location on Niles Road is usually the answer. It’s exactly what you expect, but with a few typical fast-food quirks you need to watch out for.
The Good: When they are on their game, this place hits the spot. My Cheesy Gordita Crunch or classic Beef Burrito is usually perfectly made, toasted just right, and actually warm. If you manage to catch them during an off-hour (like 2 PM on a Tuesday), you'll zoom right through the drive-thru, and the staff is usually super friendly and quick. Seriously, I've had zero issues during those times.
The Not-So-Good: The moment it hits dinner rush (around 5-7 PM), strap in. I’ve definitely waited 15 minutes or more in that line, and that’s when the mistakes start happening. It’s like a coin flip whether my order is 100% right. They constantly forget my side of Nacho Cheese, or worse, skip the hot sauce packets I asked for, leaving me high and dry when I get home. Also, the food prep gets sloppy when they're slammed—sometimes my Crunchwrap looks like it was assembled by a toddler.
