I routinely get the wrong food at this location.
Today was no different.
The Taco Supreme in my cravings box came as just a regular taco. Fine. Mistakes happen.
I went in, showed them the incorrectly prepared item, explained that it was supposed to be a Supreme. They said ok, and I went back outside to the tables to enjoy the rest of my meal. 5 minutes later, a staff member came out to my table, demanding the incorrect item back as a condition for making a replacement (correct) item. I stated that I am against unnecessary food waste, and that I knew it would go right in the trash, were I to return it. She flashed a stupid grin, repeated the same line, and I stood my ground. She went back inside. The manager then came out with a (hastily prepared) Taco Supreme that had spite written all over it, and said to me, "Next time, we need the item back."
No. Next time, get my order right the first time. I showed the incorrect item to more than one staff member, including that same manager, more than once. It's not the taco's fault that the staff can't consistently prepare food as it is ordered. Had I driven home, saw it was wrong, and wasted the gas and time to come back, would they still have demanded the item back?
I have, on a previous visit, had a staff member rudely snatch an incorrect item directly out of my hand. This is the only Taco Bell I've been to that does this. The customer service here is just plain appalling most days. I only go to the drive thru anymore at this location, even if I'm eating inside, because they take a million years to even acknowledge you if you go inside.
Sad, because this location started out good, but didn't take long to go downhill.
