⚠️ DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! BEDBUGS • MOLD • POOR MANAGEMENT ⚠️
I lived here in 2018 or 17 but my review for some reason was not showing from all those years back. Im just updating this so others know what i experienced. To this day, this was the worst place I lived in. Beautiful on the outside hell in the inside. And they also teicked me into thinking I was moving into a new renovated apt, charged us extra and we ended up in a handcap apt on the 1ft floor. Terrible scammers. I also found out they lied about me not paying rent on my rental history and i lived there for 5 months after. I found out when i apploed to new apts and thire lawyer and office hung up on me mutilple times.
I’ve lived here for several years, and the experience has been nothing short of disappointing. The lack of maintenance and care from management is unbelievable.
Recently, they replaced my fairly new refrigerator with an older, dirty one — completely unacceptable. Earlier this year, our water heater broke around 4 a.m., flooding our bedroom and master bathroom with several inches of water. The damage and stress were terrible, all due to the lack of preventive maintenance in this complex.I pay $1,100 a month for a two-bedroom apartment (including taxes and water), and for that amount, residents should receive at least basic respect and functioning appliances. I’ve reported issues like a leaking refrigerator, mold in the pantry, and an old dishwasher that clearly doesn’t work — yet management repeatedly dismisses concerns or takes months to respond.
Window screens, toilet seats, and general upkeep are long overdue for replacement. Despite multiple requests, nothing gets done unless you constantly follow up or visit the office in person. It’s frustrating to work hard, pay rent on time, and still be ignored.
Bedbug Problems:
The complex also has an ongoing bedbug issue that management does not take seriously. It took nearly a month for treatment to be completed, and I received very little guidance. They even handed out paperwork that made it sound like residents were responsible for the cleaning, which was misleading. Communication was poor, and scheduling was disorganized — the pest control company didn’t show up on time, and I had to make multiple calls just to get help.
After living here for over four years and paying more than $45,000 in rent, I expected far better treatment and accountability. This is where my family lives, sleeps, and eats — we deserve to feel safe and cared for in our own home.
Covington Park needs serious improvements in maintenance, communication, and overall management. Until that happens, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for housing.
