  Sweet Magnolia Smokehouse is an unassuming restaurant in a strip mall and you can tell their food is made with love. I had the 2-meat-2-sides plate with brisket, baby back ribs, cole slaw & sweet potatoes. Everything was wonderful…the meat was moist & tender, the ribs had just the right amount of chew, and the sides were a great compliment. I highly recommend giving them a try.

  We will recommend it by our god daughter who lives in Arizona and we were here visiting for the weekend. The atmosphere was comfortable and the service was excellent but even better was the food!!! You did not need a knife to cut anything..meat was tender and nicely seasoned. Whenever we come back to AZ, if you want some barbecue, Sweet Magnolias is the place to go to!!

  I rarely write a review & also don’t dine out often because I was tired of spending my money on mediocre & bad food . Tonight I decided to try Magnolia my first thought after trying everything I ordered was , this food is so good & it’s homemade with a lot of Love ❤️ everything was an A++++ 10 out of 10 ! Here’s what I tried Brisket & Pulled Pork cooked to perfection , very moist & not over salted . Coleslaw seasoned perfectly & very tasty . Sweet potatoes not mushy or loose just enough sweetness. Baked beans over the top flavor . Cornbread muffins not dry with a bit of sweetness ! I’m going back tomorrow for more Brisket 😊

  I took a bbq-pro and discerning family member with me to place an order at Sweet Magnolia’s restaurant. First impression was great flavorful aroma of BBQ as we enter, strikingly huge mural on far north wall featuring a huge magnolia and on the east wall a mural almost as large for the menu. A long neat display counter separated the “modern industrial meets southern dining minimalist style” tables area from the kitchen. The music was not too loud and fit the atmosphere in beats. The cashier was friendly and patient with us changing our mind and adding/subtracting from our orders. Being from Carolina, a vinegrette- type mustard sauce is preferred on pulled pork, briskets, etc. and we were glad to be listened to when asked for sauce on-the- side. For the meat, the right results were achieved with the brisket, with well under 20% fat with just the right amount of smoked in flavor, deeply savory beefy/buttery flavor, that has melt-in-your-mouth texture from the rendered fat, and cooked to a edged dark bark on the ends. The pulled pork was done just right also. This was a 2- thumbs-up BBQ experience and we will be returning…

  9/28/2025 We wanted some good barbacue & a piece of cornbread. We pulled up & there were no cars there. WHY?¿? My gut said RUN & FiND ANOTHER place. We asked if they were open due to no cars: They replied it was an off hour. The prices were very HIGH & everything Ala-Cart. A very large, confusing confusing, menu was posted on the wall. We asked a few questions.if the food is good we don't mind paying the price! I orderd 1 meat, the brisket with 2 sides plus an extra price for cornbread.🌽 My hubby ordered the all MEAT PLATTER 🍖 Meat platter w/chicken, brisket, pulled pork & pork ribs with only 1 side & $1 for a cornbread! 🌽 I asked what the most tender meat was & srugged her shoulders. I asked if the brisket was tender & the owner's daughter said yes were from Mississippi. We received are meals & looked down a the tiny, tiny portions. She said my meat was weighed & mine was 1/4 lb of meat. McDonald's would of been tastier. My brisket was hard, dry & couldn't chew it. (Our ribs & brisket are to die for! Delicious!) I asked for something tender & had the pulled pork. The sweet potato, beans were delicious! 😋 Our teeny tiny cornbread was in a paper cupcake & was gagging me & could not swallow. My husband cornbread was moist so I felt that I could ask for another. I received another from tge owners daughter's. Still horribly dry & washed 1/2 down with my soda gagging.🥴😵‍💫 I said it was dry, *WATCH OUT!* HERE HE COMES!* 😱🤬🥵 Then unexpectedly a man forcefully flu over the back counter: ANNOYED, ANGRY & VERY HOSTILE, to me a lady of 76! I was very frightened by his HORRIFIC BEHAVIOR! WHY?¿ OVER A *TEENY TINY CORNBREAD CUPCAKE!* 🥵😱 There was no reasoning with him & we were disgusted with his unexceptional behavior.🥴 He said: *I was the only person who complained about his cornbread in 4 1/2 yrs. 🤔 We are suburb cooks 👍 & know good food!!! NOT HERE! We paid over $60 for our lunch & tipped 20% before we knew how hard & dry the food was. I felt that I had the right to ask one more time for a moist tiny cornbread cup. How much would this cost, a 1/4 of a cent?¿? 🤔🫣🤔🤪☹️ I WILL SEND YOU A *RECEPE* 4 GREAT CORNBREAD! 🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽 🥴😵‍💫 (What a Huge Mistake we made in eating here.)🫨🤢 My husband's leftovers was given to our wild animals, boars, coyotes, wolves & etc...
