  Food is good but take out from this place is a real nightmare - no one seems to be in charge and people wait around for a long time to get pickup orders. I’m not really sure why they haven’t improved this after all this time. Do not dare try them on a busy night - you’ll never see your good and no one will apologize or crack a smile

  The sushi was great and the staff was really friendly. Will definitely go again.

  Not sure how it has come to this stage that I have to say service is now awful with ignorance and minimal communications, the whole place is understaffed and also seem to more focus on take-out rather than dine in (however take-out experience is pretty bad with small portions and not great fish quality either). I would not recommend going to this place again, with or without kids.

  川沿いの街は、夜の始まりとともにゆっくりとオレンジ色に染まっていた。通りごとに仮装した人々があふれ、カボチャの灯りが風に揺れていた。知り合いに誘われて、私はハロウィンのイベントへ向かっていた。 アメリカにいる間にしかできない経験だと思った。たとえ仕事が残っていようと、それはあとで何とかすればいい。そんな気分の日もある。 妻はチキンの格好をしていた。娘はダッキー。二人並ぶと、まるで絵本のページから抜け出してきたようだった。私はUberの後部座席に座りながら、流れる街の灯をぼんやりと眺めていた。気がつけば、もうレストランのことを考えている。検索して見つけたのは「Mike」という名前が入った日本食の店。評価は高い。しかしその“Mike”が少し引っかかった。アメリカナイズされた寿司かもしれない。酢が強すぎたり、甘すぎたり、何かが少しずれているかもしれない。そんな想像ばかりしていた。 イベントは楽しかった。人々は笑い、踊り、通り全体がひとつの仮面舞踏会のようだった。けれど終わるころには、私は空腹で、体の芯まで冷えていた。帰り道、ふと視界の端に“Mike”の文字が見えた。 店の前で、大柄な男がETの仮面をつけて子どもたちにお菓子を配っていた。その光景が、なぜか妙に温かかった。知り合いたちも「ここはいい店だ」と言っていた。私はドアを押した。 店内は暗く、静かだった。壁には浮世絵のような絵が掛けられ、カウンターの上には控えめな灯り。店主が日本人なのか、中国人なのか、あるいはそのどちらでもないのかは分からなかった。ただ、空気の中に“日本っぽいものを愛そうとする気持ち”のようなものが漂っていた。 寿司の味は悪くなかった。けれど日本で食べるそれとは少し違う。酢の加減も、米の温度も、わずかに異なる。だがそれはそれで悪くない。別の国で生きる別の寿司。そう思えば自然に受け入れられた。 店員たちは親切で、寒さで強ばった心が少しほどけた。外に出ると、風は冷たく、街はまだハロウィンの余韻に包まれていた。 私は息を白く吐きながら思った。 来年ももしここでハロウィンを迎えるなら、またこの“Mike”に来てもいい。 そんな夜だった。

  Takeout order. Everything was great but they forgot the spoons for the soups we ordered. The restaurant was very busy but that is no excuse - they could still take a moment or two to check the accuracy of take out orders.
