We got extra dirty room, nasty bathroom. Went complain to the manager with the pictures and he went to change bed sheets and clean the bathroom.
Smell in the hotel was terrible like old moldy church. Foam in the pool.
Breakfast- spoiled coffee creamers, no eggs or sausage already at 8:15am ( breakfast ending at 9am). We checked out day ealier, manager told me he sent the refund and it’s been 2 weeks and didn’t receive any money. I called after 6th business day manager picked up the phone and was acting like that’s not him and the manager went out of town and he will contact me about money after he come back ( he thought I’m stupid to not recognize his voice) - don’t stay there !

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share our experience in the hopes of preventing others from going through what we did.
We booked this hotel based on the photos and seemingly decent reviews. Unfortunately, the reality was a complete letdown. The images online are highly misleading, what we walked into looked nothing like what was advertised. Instead, we were met with stained and dirty bedding, lack of replacement bedding when asked and bugs in beds.
What’s more concerning is that both adults and children in our group experienced immediate discomfort. Our children were immediately disgusted after returning from tournament games. We knew none of us would sleep well due to the overall filth and unsettling atmosphere.
To say this place caused distress is an understatement. We went to the front desk to cancel our rooms and find different accommodations at 11:30 at night. Unfortunately, management was unapologetic and unwilling to issue any refund or offer a meaningful resolution.
Avoid this hotel at all costs. It is unhygienic, misrepresented, and utterly unfit for families or anyone expecting even basic cleanliness and comfort.

Since you can’t respond to emails and or phone calls about this matter and only communicate on reviews, I would like to see the report that you even have someone come in to service your hotel? The reason why they didn’t find anything is because you have time to clean the rooms to a better standards then when we found them. If we would not have been so distracted by the bugs found in our beds we would have taken pictures to prove this matter. It is really sad that you can’t own up to this situation and provide refunds. 5/22/25
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at this establishment. The conditions we encountered were unacceptable and far below any reasonable standard of cleanliness.
Upon returning to our room at approximately 11:30 PM on 5/17/25 after a long day of baseball, we discovered an unsanitary situation in the bedding which caused us significant distress. Unfortunately, we did not document this with photographs at the time due to the immediate need to vacate the premises and secure alternative accommodations. Kicking myself for this!
I have attempted to contact MAC directly by phone to discuss this matter, BUT KEEP GETTING HUNG UP ON. This lack of responsiveness and unprofessional management it is deeply concerning and further exacerbates the negative experience we endured.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you are seeing this and thinking of booking with Mac and Sam at SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western in Bettendorf Iowa, DO NOT you’re better off just sleeping in your car. If I could post with leaving ZERO STARS would.

Absolutely do not spend a sec in this place even if you have to use the bathroom I would rather go under a overpass rather than this place. infested with bugs mold and dirt, Cobb Webbs all over the ceiling broke down cars in parking lot, looks like it’s from a episode of Sanford and sons when we had our baseball team stay, well attempt to stay had to find a new bug free place to rest our head btw probably why we lost. and when we asked for a refund he made up a story about a tv that is absurd we got to the hotel/motel if you wanna call it that at 11:30 who was watching tv anyway so if you want a recommendation get a tent or just use the ditch
To your response: I am going to call the health department in your area and report what happened. I will also be reporting you to the better Business Bureau. It’s not a threat I told you exactly what I was going to do before you hung up on me. Also Mac I though you were in New York??

My kids and I have been staying here for 2w now and I have zero complaints. It’s nice, clean inside and out, quiet, doesn’t stink, and phenomenal service. I’ve also not seen one single bug of any kind. We have stayed in many different hotels over the past 3yrs around the QC and surrounding areas and this one has been one of the best ones by far. They also have a working pool, anymore if a hotel has a pool it’s most likely not working and closed. The bed is very comfortable, even the couch is comfortable. As of right now we are here another week, possibly longer, and will continue our stay here as long as needed and would 100% come back if we ever needed a hotel room in the future. 100% recommend!
