I stayed here the Saturday after Thanksgiving and was incredibly impressed. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, no detail was ignored.
The first thing I appreciated was that the hotel has two screened in patios, one for smoking and one non smoking, separated by about fifteen feet. While I didn't use the patio this trip (it was pretty cold, and kind of windy/rainy), I really liked this detail.
The lobby is gorgeous, full of warm colors and wood. It feels very classic and homey, more like an inn than a chain hotel. I checked in at almost midnight and was immediately greeted by a cheerful staff member whose name I can't remember, but she was great. The room was spacious and quiet, with a very responsive heater (thank goodness). The water pressure in the sink and shower were great.
The breakfast was delicious and fairly comprehensive. There was fresh fruit, bagels, danish, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and a waffle iron. I was most impressed by the biscuits and gravy, because it was perfect. It's very easy to have bad biscuits and gravy, and the easiest way is to let them get lukewarm. I don't know if these were super fresh or just kept at a good temperature and stirred regularly, but they nailed it.
Check out was just as quick as check in, and I was on the road three minutes after I left my room. I had a great stay here, and will definitely be back.
