Good place to stay on a budget. They offer breakfast but is very limited in options. Right across from Walmart and restaurants.
I traveled across the country via motorcycle and needed a room to wait out heavy winds and rain going farther west. I called ahead from Yerington and found someone answered the phone unlike the maze of voice prompts at other hotels. When I arrived I found the front office staff very friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless and everything in it worked. There was a coffee maker with supplies, a microwave and refrigerator. I have to say, the refrigerator was quiet unlike those in hotels with even higher so called star ratings. It sure helped with sleeping. The TV worked, again, not so common these days so that was great for catching up on weather and getting in a movie. The location is actually really good, there is a Super Walmart across the street and grabbing a sandwich and a salad made for a better dinner than fast food. The temps dropped but the heater in the room worked just right and maintained the temperature it was set to. The water in the sink and shower are almost instant and with good water pressure. Plenty of towels are stocked in the room.
The breakfast is good and like most hotels offering it, full selections and the lady taking care of the seating and food areas is right on top of things. There was never a mess anywhere, spotless. The coffee was hot and there were enough food selections to satisfy, even strawberry waffles were to be had.
My room was on the opposite side of the office and I had a direct view down to where my bike was parked. It's a thing with motorcyclists wanting to check on their bikes and even though I don't sweat that it was nice to have it close for pickup the next morning. There is USB charging on the night stand and it works. It seems to be a 2 amp charger but does have two AC sockets to plug in quick chargers if you brought one. If not and you need one, we'll, that Walmart right across the street has plenty.
There was a kids softball tournament and there were plenty of kids staying here with their coaches and parents.
If you are headed west and stop before Reno, Fernley is a good location and the SureStay is a really nice little place for some relax time waiting for your next leg of the trip. I'd stay here again.
Toilet was dirty, sink was clogged, floors were never mopped, the Picture of my feet was right after getting out of the shower!! The hot water heater was intermediate. There was coffee but no coffee maker. The ice machine was down, and the laundromat they have on the property was closed up because the bathroom didn't work?? That's what we were told. The pillows were flat and old. Maybe someone should learn how to defrost the freezer! Seriously, they should just shut it down. Clearly no one knows how to run a motel.

I was traveling across country with my son and tried to book a room here for October 2, same day. It was after 3 o’clock in the afternoon and we were almost there. When I clicked book, I got a confirmation email stating that my stay was for October 23. I called the hotel immediately and the front desk clerk Katie was very rude to me and said, sorry no refunds, that’s our policy. I told her I booked it for that night and it changed to the 23rd. She said that’s because we don’t have any rooms available tonight. Absolutely unwilling to help me or Priceline when they called to correct an error that was not even mine. Katie at the front desk was rude to me and the escalation department at Priceline and the manager has obviously been unwilling to reverse the charges. It’s not like they lost any money because they were booked and could’ve easily canceled the reservation for the 23rd that I don’t need. I was in hotel management and know for a fact that this could’ve been fixed by them. Absolutely horrible customer service!! Best Western should be ashamed. In fact, I would avoid staying in Fernley altogether. We stayed at the super eight down the street, which was also horrible and ate at the black bear diner, which was the worst food and experience we’ve ever had.
