Sure Thing was trustworthy, fast, and knowledgeable. Our plumber identified signs of termite damage so we called another pest control firm to inspect. They quoted us $1,500 to fix it with additional annual work with an annual fee. We wanted a second opinion so we reached out to Sure Thing as we've seen their trucks and have neighbors who have used them.
They identified that the termite damage was old (prior to when we bought the house) and was already remedied properly. They showed us where the drill marks were located in the basement, garage, and sidewalks and were able to explain how the issue was resolved. They ultimately saved us thousands of dollars and I would recommend them for any pest control issues.

We’ve used Sure Thing for many years across two houses due to ants and rarely ever see one in the house. Also we have less bugs in general. Very nice people come out as well.

Like 6 visits at this point. These guys can’t keep ants out of a brand new home that is kept impeccably clean. I also highly encourage you to find a new receptionist that isn’t condescending, rude, and wants to help customers when they call about an ongoing issue you haven’t fixed or eradicated yet.
Frequently Asked Questions About Sure Thing Pest Control
Why should I hire a professional when I can try and do it myself?
Professional pest management offers expertise in identifying and treating pest issues that may not be apparent to untrained individuals. Our specialists are knowledgeable about pest behavior, hiding spots, and entry points. Additionally, only licensed professionals can legally apply commercial-grade pesticides, ensuring more effective and safe treatment.
Is pest management safe for my family and pets?
Sure Thing Pest Control prioritizes safety. We use products that have undergone rigorous testing and received U.S. EPA approval. Our certified professionals are trained in proper application techniques. We also offer non-chemical alternatives such as baits, exclusion methods, and sanitation recommendations for those preferring eco-friendly options.
How long after the initial treatment does it take to see results?
The timeline for visible results varies depending on the pest type and treatment method. Some treatments, like yellow jacket nest removal, show immediate effects. Others, such as baiting for ants, rodents, or termites, may take longer as the pests need to ingest the product. Your assigned technician will provide specific expectations for your particular situation.
What is the value of having a regularly scheduled pest service even when I don't see pests in my house?
Regular pest services provide proactive protection against infestations. Our technicians can identify early signs of pest activity and address potential issues before they become problematic. This preventative approach helps maintain a pest-free environment, ensuring the ongoing safety and comfort of your home and family.
Why do our pest services focus on the outside of my home when I have pests on the inside?
Our Sure Cure program emphasizes exterior treatment to create a protective barrier around your home, preventing pests from entering. This proactive approach is often more effective than solely addressing interior issues. However, if pests do manage to infiltrate your home, we have effective interior treatment methods to eliminate them.
What is the difference between a treatment using baits vs. sprays?
Spray treatments typically have a shorter lifespan and require direct contact with insects to be effective. Baits, on the other hand, target both visible and hidden pests. For example, ants carry bait back to their colony, affecting the entire population. This method often results in more comprehensive and long-lasting pest control.
Do termites go away on their own after termite season passes?
Termites remain active year-round, not just during swarming season. Subterranean termites construct extensive mud tunnels, allowing them to infiltrate and damage structures undetected. Professional intervention is necessary to address termite infestations effectively, regardless of the season.
How can I tell the difference between a flying ant and a termite?
Three key features distinguish flying ants from termites: 1) Wing length: Termite wings are equal in size and extend beyond the abdomen, while ant wings are unequal and typically end at the abdomen. 2) Antennae shape: Termites have straight, bead-like antennae, whereas ants have elbowed antennae. 3) Waist size: Ants have a pinched waist, while termites have a uniform, streamlined body shape.
How much damage do termites cause?
Termites feed continuously, potentially causing rapid and extensive damage to wooden structures. The National Pest Management Association estimates annual termite-related property damage at $5 billion. Partnering with Sure Thing Pest Control can help mitigate this risk through effective termite control measures.
My home is built of concrete block, so do I still need to worry about termites?
Concrete block construction does not guarantee protection against termites. Subterranean termites can access structures through small cracks and travel long distances within walls. Their ability to create hidden mud tunnels makes detection challenging until significant damage occurs. Even homes on concrete slabs without ground-contact wood remain vulnerable to termite infestation.
