Egg BLT sandwich on regular bread, a Pancake breakfast with coffee and a house made soda was $45 because they charge for every little thing they consider an add on. Ex. The vanilla cinnamon soda is one of their listed flavors but they charged $2 for the cinnamon and that was not listed as an extra on their menu. They don't tell you there are no refills for soda or coffee. That soda was a $6 soda and it's in the smallest cute glass. I just feel like such common menu items should not have costed that much. They drew us in with zydeco but no dance floor. The tables are so tightly placed everybody is in each other's face. The food did taste good. The coffee was served without asking if you need cream or sugar and they didn't bring it to the table with your coffee. The girl would visit one table and leave and not pay attention so the coffee was not too hot by the time we got the cream and sugar. Oh she told us there was just milk and of course that was an add on not mentioned. They didn't bring napkins to the table. The times she asked how we were doing were before bringing the meal then MIA. But she was nice though. Bad service with a smile. The soda did not taste homemade which is something I have experience in making. Tasted like syrup they squirted in 7up. I have 3 stars because it is a charming little place and people weren't mean. We did end up getting what we needed having exercised patience. Ultimately, I still recommend for the charming experience but tell ya man you gone be there a while and with tip over $50 for a regular breakfast y'all. Then more if you tip the musicians.

Made an initial review that got responded to with lies…. fascinating. The order was via DoorDash (fried shrimp is what’s pictured in a TO GO box) and was never addressed to me “in person” much less at all.

The food and desserts were high quality, and the accommodations for people with peanut/tree nut allergies were very appreciated.

This place really feels vintage and look vintage. You can smell the ice cream when you walk in. The food was fresh and hot. I had the “Festival Queen” and it was really flavorful! I also had a “Brownie Al La mode” and it was hot and full of fudge.
