Two years ago we had Sun4Light install a solar light tube in our kitchen. They did an awesome job and it worked great. Recently we had them put in a solar attic fan in our house. Another fantastic job and it works great. Don’t hesitate to use this company..

We have 3 sun tunnels with the solar night lights installed our home. They are fantastic. We haven't had to use the lights in our bathroom since we had them installed. The staircase is safer at night now without turning on the light. We also had an attic fan installed by Sun4Light. Service was great. We were amazed at how quickly and clean the installation was. Scott and Lisa are very professional and helpful. They answered all of our questions. We were impressed that Scott didn't try to sell us on tunnels not needed. The price was fair and reasonable. We highly recommend Sun4Light. Great product and company.

Excellent product and professional company. They were on time and accomplished the job in record time. We love our new sun tunnels.
The number of units is determined by the square footage of the room and length of the tube. A ten inch unit can light approximately 200 square feet and is ideal for small bathrooms and hallways. Longer tube lengths are often better suited for fourteen inch Sun Tunnels. The more popular fourteen inch Sun Tunnel light approximately 325 square feet. They are ideal for lighting kitchen, family rooms, and larger spaces.
My skylight looks cloudy. Can I just replace the glass?
Glass replacement requires the purchase of an entirely new skylight. Unfortunately, when a new glass top is installed on an old unit, it is not possible to provide an adequate warrant. Since you are already buying a new unit and paying labor, we recommend replacing the entire unit so you receive a 10 Year Product and Installation Warranty.
Should I replace my bubbled/acrylic skylight?
Yes. VELUX offers various stock-sized laminated loe3 glass units to fit most acrylic units. Flat glass skylights are more energy efficient, 50% quieter, meet building codes, and include a 10 Year Glass Hail Breakage Warranty.
Why is the glass important in my skylight?
Building codes require a minimum of laminated glass for skylights installed in “out of reach” or 8-foot ceiling heights. Laminated glass is similar to the glass installed in car windshields. If broken, the shards of glass are large chunks. Whereas, tempered glass is similar to car windows. If broken, the glass separates into lots of little pieces. Tempered glass does not meet building code requirements for “out of reach” applications.
Coastal customers, living in areas where wind gusts meet or exceed 155 mph, are encouraged to upgrade the glass in their skylights to impact glass. Impact glass is another layer of laminated glass and is resistant to penetration from flying debris.
Laminated glass offers 25% more sound protection than tempered units and 50% more sound protection than plastic.
Only laminated and impact glass have VELUX 10 Year Glass Hail Breakage Warranties.
What are the options to reduce heat gain or soften the light from my skylight?
VELUX offers solar-powered room-darkening and light-filtering blinds. Light-filtering blinds are great for diffusing light. Whereas the room-darkening blinds have an inner-layer of silver reflective radiant barrier. The radiant barrier allows the blinds to reduce heat and darken the living spaces. If a solar-powered blind is installed at the time a fixed or manually venting skylight is installed or replaced, the entire project qualifies for a 26% solar tax credit.
