My neighbors recommended Suburban to install sprinklers and I couldn’t have been happier. I was really impressed with how quickly Michael Rose and his team installed a sprinkler system. In addition, he contracted a great plumber to set up the installation.

FOR NEW OWNERS OF SPRINKLER SYSTEM, be mindful that they will turn on your external petcocks during the winterization service WITHOUT NOTICING YOU ABOUT WHAT THEY HAVE CHANGED, and you need to figure it out by yourself next spring/summer when you turn on the lawn valve again.
We are the new owner of the house and followed the prior owner's practice to have Suburban Co. did the winterization service in fall. Without being told about they turned on the outdoor petcocks, recently when we turned on the lawn valve, we had a fountain in backyard for about two hours (see attached video). If we did not happen to hear some unexpected sound of the water pump before going to bed, we don't know how much more time we would leave the water flowing because of the petcocks turned on by them. When we contacted Suburban to complain about not being told about changing our petcocks setting, they just talked down to us about it was a standard winterization practice to leave the petcocks open. We don't care about what is the standard practice; IF YOU CHANGED SOMETHING DURING YOUR SERVICE, YOU SHOULD TELL US SO THAT WE KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO NEXT YEAR. No everyone has your "common sense" about your work, especially new home owners.

I scheduled an appointment with Suburban to open my sprinkler system for the first time. When I called, I was told that the full opening service would cost $175. However, the final invoice came to $285, which was unexpected. The technician did open the system, and I asked him to shut down a fews zones that I didn’t need. He said he wasn’t able to set up the timer for me and that the office would contact me to schedule a follow-up appointment to complete the setup. I never received a call, and I was surprised to be charged $110 more than the quoted price.Based on this experience, I would not recommend their service!

Frequently Asked Questions About Suburban Lawn Sprinkler Co.
Do I need to be home for service?
If you are able to give us access to the inside water and timer without anyone being home then no, you do not need to be home.
How long is spring service/fall service?
Spring service can last anywhere between 30 minutes to one hour depending on repairs. Fall service can last anywhere between 20 and 40 minutes depending on the size of the system.
Will installation destroy my lawn?
We use the most State-of-the-Art equipment that tunnels pipe underground without causing much damage to the lawn surface. Should there be many rocks and/or roots, the process is not as neat. Generally, all lawns grow back within 7-10 days.
How long does installation take?
Most residential jobs can be completed in one day (two at the most). Before the “in-ground” work is done, a few hours are needed for inside plumbing.
Is there a backlog for installations?
It depends on the time of year. The Spring is the busiest time and it is always better to sign up early (even in the winter). We begin our installations at the end of April and beginning of May. Generally we can install Spring contracts within 4-6 weeks. After June, our schedule lightens up and the backlog is usually 3-4 weeks.
Do lawn mowers frequently break the sprinklers?
NO!! Since plastics took over the industry in the 70’s, with spring-loaded nozzles, the problems with lawn mowers are essentially nonexistent.
