I’m writing to express my extreme disappointment with the customer service I received today, Sunday, July 6th, 2025, while attempting to pick up my curbside order.
As someone who suffers from significant back issues, I rely on curbside pickup and have used this location consistently since the COVID era. Unfortunately, the service today—while not new in pattern—was the worst I’ve experienced to date.
I called for over 10 minutes upon arrival to let the store know I had arrived. This long wait time is a recurring issue at this location. When an associate named Carmen finally answered, I was met with attitude rather than an apology. I mentioned I had been calling for over 10 minutes, and she responded that she was the only one working. If that were the case, it’s unclear why the phone wouldn’t have been heard or answered earlier. This “we can’t hear the phone in the back” excuse has been used for years, and it’s unacceptable at this point.
Shortly after that call, I began receiving multiple consecutive calls from an unfamiliar number. It turned out to be a manager from the store. I answered after the third attempt, and again, I was given the same explanation about the phone being in the back. I explained that this has been a long-standing issue and that I was disappointed not only in the delay but in the rudeness I experienced today—something I’ve never encountered to this degree.
When I told the manager that, due to this repeated poor service, I would no longer shop at this location (despite being a loyal customer and having recommended it to family and friends), I was shocked to be accused of “abusing staff.” This accusation was both unfounded and offensive. I did not raise my voice, use inappropriate language, or behave disrespectfully in any way. I simply voiced my concerns.
To be treated this way as a longtime customer is not only disappointing—it’s unacceptable. I will no longer be doing business at this location and will be encouraging others to reconsider as well. Word of mouth matters, and I hope your team begins taking consistent, respectful customer service more seriously in the future.
