Despite my clear intent to make a purchase, I was approached and followed around by several employees within ten minutes of entering the store and subsequently asked to leave. This experience was not only embarrassing but also made me feel targeted and unwelcome. When I attempted to understand the reasoning behind this request and explain that I was a first-time customer actively browsing, several employees were dismissive and interrupted my explanation. I find the application of a "no loitering" policy in this situation to be illogical and offensive, particularly given my intention to be a returning customer for our extensive boat remodeling project needs. I had planned to purchase numerous items for my project * and was looking forward to establishing a regular relationship with your store. I kindly request that you investigate this matter thoroughly and provide clarification on your store's policy regarding customer interactions and the specific circumstances under which a customer would be asked to leave. I had anticipated this visit your store for a long time and when I finally get the opportunity the treatment I get on my first visit leaves much to be desired, I sincerely do hope this was an isolated incident and not the standard operating procedure, this incident reflects very poorly on your employees and their skill handling of customer relations, I do hope that this will be looked into and something done that will prevent other new customers from having similar experiences and stop such unwelcoming actions from occurring in the future. *(I had accumulated over $100 of items and was not finished with my list when approached by employee)
