- MOMarcus OgrenJun 19, 20251.0If you are looking for a company that starts off strong with good communication and attention to detail, but then falls short as the project nears completion, Stevenson Pool Company is who you are looking for. The initial stages of our pool construction were handled well, and the quality of the pool itself is very good. However, the overall project management and communication as we approached completion have been deeply disappointing. While the pool construction was solid, the cleanup left much to be desired. Rusty wire was left around the pool deck, causing stains on the stonework. The most frustrating aspect has been trying to finalize a beautiful pool—into which we invested significant hard-earned money—only to have Stevenson become unresponsive. Communication essentially stopped unless it was to request payment. We were asked to provide the final payment, a small remaining balance, despite the project being incomplete. As of today, our yard remains ungraded, with a large pile of dirt still sitting where it was left from the pool excavation in January 2025. It has been over 50 days since the pool became operational, yet the yard remains unfinished. We’ve had to cancel multiple planned gatherings because our backyard is in no condition to host guests. In fact, we have spent more time dealing with mud and cleanup than actually enjoying the pool. Despite repeated assurances—week after week—that the yard would be addressed, including escalation to the Vice President of Operations, no meaningful progress has been made. If you are seeking a pool company for a project that may drag on for a year or longer, this might be the company for you. Otherwise, I would strongly encourage you to explore other options.
