Our location on Yampa Street, provides us with over 2,200 square feet of display space for our premium selection of fine fly fishing equipment and great outdoor gear. Featuring a wide range of products from many great brands, we can outfit you for any angling adventure. Our shop overlooks the Yampa River providing customers with a great spot to try out rods and practice skills, or join us on one of our chartered trips. Our knowledgeable pro-staff can answer any questions and give tips on local waters and different techniques used to fish them. We offer premium entry-level equipment for beginners and for experienced fishermen, we offer the finest equipment and information as well as an extensive selection of flies and fly-tying material.

    My wife and I had Mikey as our guide on Sept 15 for our 29th wedding anniversary! We had a fantastic time and Mikey is the greatest guide. Thanks again Mikey for such a great day on the water and making our anniversary special

    Stopped in for some flies. They helped me find some different patterns to run. Its right on the river you can literally shop and go fish. 20% proceeds on stickers go to the Yampa fund!

    Hands down worth every penny. Trip experience of a lifetime. The whole family had fun. First time fishing for me personally and it did not disappoint! Noah was a fantastic guide. Super knowledgeable and patient with us beginners. Once we got the hang out it he was so encouraging and rooted us along the whole way. If you’re thinking about doing something like this, don’t delay just book it you won’t regret it. If you’re not thinking about doing it maybe you should! 😂 Seriously good time. 10/10

    We did a half-day fly fishing with Jessie and Greg and had the best time! We were nervous because we were all novices, and they were both so patient and great at teaching! They were so friendly and encouraging throughout the day! We all ended up catching multiple fish and had the best time! I highly recommend Steamboat Fly Fishers to anyone who wants to learn to fly fish!
