I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars at this store. Always had good customer service and always felt my business was appreciated... Until today. I went in for a optic scope I have been saving up for. The short older man with long white hippy hair and long beard helped me, if help is what you want to call it. He was rude, didn't say a word and bad absolutely 0 customer service skills, WITH ME THAT IS. then came time to pay and he looks at the item without letting me touch it and says, "with the price of this purchase I'm going to need to see two forms of identification and ensure that they match the card you are using". I was appalled, I was paying with cash anyways. As I went out to get a few more hundreds, I decided to not give them my business because that old man without a doubt saw me and assumed something fishy. I have spent a lot at this very store. I won't be anymore. Im sorry he had to be working at his age and I'm sorry he may be envious I am buying such a nice toy. But he shouldn't be judging or assuming that I was doing anything illegal. Also, as I approached the counter to show I had the cash and tell him to forget about it, he was already helping other customers and he seemed just peachy and polite with them. Age does not equal maturity.

Husband and I came here for some fishing lures for a trip we'd been planning. We ended up spending that time in the cabin sick with covid. The cashier who checked us out said she just had allergies and I'm not sure why why she was working register when she was sick..

Make sure to double check what license they sell you. I went in today for an over the counter antelope archery tag, and they sold me an over the counter elk tag. Now I can’t get the elk tag I want because I already have this elk tag, and still need to purchase the antelope tag I originally tried to purchase. I’ll be honest I only checked my info, and assumed they did their job right. Update: Once I figured out there was a problem I called the store and asked if there was anything they could do, they told me no and to contact CPW, CPW told me they were not able to help and that sportsman’s warehouse could help by voiding the license. Well it took 3 visits to the store to get evening taken care of. I do not recommend calling the number 1800 number for sportsman as they were no help and the person who answered didn’t even know what an elk tag/license or an antelope tag/license was. The lady who made the mistake, is very nice and was apologetic.

This store has a bit of everything but good luck in getting a staff member to help a customer in the fishing supply area. Employees are gathered chatting to each other—- not customers based on my four visits!
