Opened in 2016, Sportsman’s Warehouse in Avondale, AZ is near the White Tank Mountains, Lake Pleasant, Bartlett Lake, and the Salt and Gila Rivers. National gunsmithing services are now available! If you like hunting, we’re here to get you all set up with everything you need. Popular pursuits include javelina, dove, quail, elk, bear, coyote, mountain lion, Coues and mule deer. If fishing is more your speed, we have all of your tackle to catch the bass, catfish, or crappie that you’re after. We also carry plenty of supplies for backpacking, camping, or hiking South Mountain. Our shop services are available to spool reels, fishing pole repair, mount and boresight rifle scopes, cut arrows, tune bows in our 9-yard archery lane, and anything covered by your Firearm Service Plan. No matter the weather or time of year, we’ve got the seasonal accessories to fit your outdoor adventure. While you’re in the area, be sure to check out local events like the Litchfield Fishing Derby, Hellzapoppin Rodeo, Buckeye Days Senior Pro Rodeo, NASCAR, and MLB spring training.

It's my first time and I had a great time walking around. Walked out with some gun ear muffs. And a tripod chair that was pretty reasonable and a good price. So come on and see the guys here..
- JSJillian ShookOct 24, 20255.0LOVE THIS LOCATION! the layout is open and easy to navigate! The sales within the store were pretty unexpected but enjoyable especially on the Boots. My husband and I are gearing up for our spring hunt and were in need of an overhaul for everything basically including new boots (nightmare to break in when you have sensitive feet) but after not seeing the size needed- we left with our other purchases. After looking Online I found they DID have the size needed at the store. when we called to have it held- we returned an hour or so later with our young sons and the team not only had the shoes ready but also APOLOGIZED that we hadnt found them earlier when we had been there (mind you- we didnt ask anyone for assistance to check so the error was on US not the staff.) I was blown away that they still felt the need to "correct" the mistake and extra trip we made. What a surprise and enjoyable 2x trip to this location- and yes we did in fact buy way more than we needed on both stops in LOL.

So many things are buried behind the counter to prevent shoplifting but here is the hard part, There are only a few employees to help you. The employees are also doing gun sales and that can take time. If you need a knife, gun powder, ammo, or optics good luck getting help. At the gun counter they put locks on the guns that are under a counter and they are shocked when you say take it off to check it. The store just feels unwelcoming now. There are so many better choices than this big box store.
