Me and my friend went in so he could purchase a gun and the older man helping us had bad customer service, he was cold blatant didn’t talk to us very much and looked very uninterested in selling us a gun. My friend went on to fill out all the information and when he finally got done only then did the cashier decided to tell us he’s going to shut down the purchase. It was very frustrating that he waited until we were already all done to tell us he won’t sell us the weapon. We asked what the reason was and he didn’t give us one he was just unwelcoming overall. I’ve had similar issues like this at the same store before with a different employee he was also very cold and unwelcoming. I was going to purchase a weapon afterwards too but after he denied my friend i saw no point to even try we were looking to spend a lot of money there but now we’re thinking about looking into different companies since this seems to be a reoccurring problem.

I don't leave a lot of negative reviews in general, but this is one I have to. A few months ago I purchased a new rifle, scope, and rings from Sportsman's. This is the end of the good part. After finally having everything arrive I had them mount the scope and bore sight it. I was able to take it to the range and finish sighting it in. I am a good shot, have been shooting and hunting for about 45 years. My new rifle was shooting sweet, and really accurate (.75 MOA), but my grouping started to get wider and I blamed user error and being tired, and decided to head home. However, looking back I believe this is where the issue started. I just got back from an elk hunt. Opening morning I had about a 200 yard shot on a nice bull (nice for Utah General Any Bull). I ended up missing with three shots. Later that day I discovered that the rear rings were loose from the mount and allowed my scope to move left, right, up, and down, enough that there is no possible way to be accurate. By the time we walked back to camp it was moving even worse, and could even move forward and back about 1/16", which means BOTH rings were loose from the mount. I didn't bag my elk due to the guys at Sportsman's not mounting my scope properly. I will never buy anything from Sportsman's again, and I will warn anyone away who is looking to buy any sort of outdoor gear.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding Customer Service! I’ve been a loyal customer of Sportsman’s Warehouse for nearly seven years, and my recent experience once again proved why they’ve earned my trust time and time again. I had been trying to resolve an issue with a pair of Salomon shoes for three long months without any luck. Finally, I walked into the store and spoke with the manager. Without hesitation, he immediately stepped in, listened to my concern, and authorized one of his assistants to take care of it on the spot. To my surprise and relief, they went above and beyond by honoring the warranty right there in-store and providing me with a brand-new pair of shoes. Now if this isn’t world-class customer service, I don’t know what is! I have never seen a company handle a situation with such professionalism, care, and speed. Sportsman’s Warehouse doesn’t just sell products—they stand behind them, and more importantly, they stand behind their customers. I highly recommend Sportsman’s Warehouse for all your sports and outdoor needs. They’ve proven that they don’t just value business, they value people. Thank you to the entire team for showing what true customer service looks like—you’ve earned a customer for life!

I went to Sportsman’s Warehouse in South Jordan to purchase a Hunter Safety voucher for my daughter, following instructions from a certified instructor and the official DWR website. This location is listed as a Licensed Agent, so I expected staff to understand the process and be able to help. Instead, I was told—without hesitation—that they’ve never sold vouchers at this location. The employee seemed confused by the entire request and insisted they only issue “blue cards” after the course is completed. No offer to verify the information, look into the system, or help me find a solution. We’ve purchased other licenses from this location in the past, so I know they’ve participated in the program before. This wasn’t just a misunderstanding—it was a complete lack of effort and accountability. I was trying to follow the correct process, but was met with indifference and misinformation. If Sportsman’s Warehouse is no longer participating in voucher sales, they should be removed from the DWR agent list. If they are still participating, their staff needs proper training and a willingness to assist customers. Families shouldn’t be turned away when trying to do things by the book.
