I get in trouble from my wife because I spend so much time in here. Its got a bit of EVERYTHING if you're an outdoorsman. Lots of good sales, too. Bonus: extra nice bathroom 😉 Don't expect the cashiers to be incredibly knowledgeable about OTC hunting tag sales. Know what you need before you get one. If you buy a bow or arrows here, take it across the street to Bull Basin to have any assembly done. Otherwise, I love this place.

Great place to find stuff normally but absolutely don't trust them to properly mount scope rings, bases and scope. After spending over 300 bucks on rings, mounts ect took to the range next morning and shot a group. Was like what the heck, went from a half moa rifle with handloads to a 5 in rifle. My fault for not checking things myself, scope was loose on the rail. Paid for two rifles to be mounted and bore sighted, neither was on a 3x3 target at 100. Normally I have always done all this myself but wanted to get ring hight correct changing scopes out. Come on people, it is not that difficult to torque screws and nuts to spec...

Got a Henry lever action and some ammo that I been looking for in the valley but they had here so had to get. Workers were chill and let me look at whatever I wanted to but was there for questions. Nice to not be hovered.

1-Star Review for the gun counter. This is my second time having a negative and just outright weird experience while shopping for guns at this particular Sportsman’s. Everyone behind the gun counter acts like they work for the ATF and it seems like they’re looking for reasons to deny prospective buyers. First time I went to purchase a gun here about two years ago the girl at the counter accused me of having been previously denied a firearm purchase despite having never attempted to purchased a firearm at Sportsman’s ever before. Then she threatened to deny us a gun sale because of my friends “suggestive” shirt… But this most recent experience is what really turned me off from this store. I went to look at guns with some friends and the dude at the counter was trying to dig through my friends wallet, looking at all her cards and IDs, asking for all of our first and last names, asking where she was born, ect… going way beyond his scope of authority in which we decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere. It seems like every time I come in here they are looking for a reason to deny a firearm sale. I can understand and respect the basic federal regulations when it comes to firearm purchases, but these folks are just simply on some sort of power trip and unreasonably suspicious. This store must be owned by liberal feds because they don’t want to sell a firearm to anyone. Shop anywhere but here. Cal Ranch and Timberline have a great selection and much better customer service!
