This review is not directed at the Nampa location, but rather the organization. This was my first and last purchase with Sportsman’s Warehouse. I usually shop at Scheels or Cabela’s. I was shopping online for a cargo/roof box and Sportsman’s had one that I liked. It came in black or gray, so I purchased the gray model because it matched the color of my car. After I made my purchase, the order stayed “pending” for about a week and then I received a generic email (this must happen often) that said, “your order was canceled due to insufficient inventory.” How does that even happen? I assumed that Sportsman’s was a large chain with modern technology. I was wrong! Now, most of the reputable big box stores will HONOR your online purchase with a similar or upgraded item if their online inventory is inaccurate. Well, I assumed again…..I thought Sportsman’s would do the right thing and offer the black model (exact same model just different color, now the black model does cost more not sure why as it is the exact same thing). I was given a big fat NO! They refused to make it right by offering a substitute item! Looks like I’ll be going back to the other honorable box stores. Sportsman’s……you really need catch up with the other BIG BOYS!

I spent $750 dollars at this store in one purchase for several items. One of the items purchased this time was an Igloo Cooler. We were not made aware, and there was no information provided that the cooler lid was not secure, and that it could not be put in the back of a truck. That lid would be lost on our first trip only 2 hours down the road. Thinking that the store should cover the cost of a replacement, and also be made aware of the faulty equipment, I went in to the Nampa Idaho store and spoke to a manager named David. He was rude and coldly stated, "I don't care, what happened to that cooler after you purchased it here." I have spent at least $10,000 dollars through the past three years at Sportsman's Warehouse and they will not get another dime. My business will go to a different store like Dicks or Cabela's.
