Open since 2016, Sportsman’s Warehouse in Slidell, LA is near Bourbon Street and Lake Pontchartrain. National gunsmithing services are now available! If you like hunting, we’re here to get you all set up with everything you need. Popular pursuits include duck, pig, deer, squirrel, and alligator. If fishing is more your speed, we have all of your tackle to catch the redfish and speckled trout that you’re after. We also carry plenty of supplies for boating, kayaking, camping, hiking, and outdoor cooking. Our shop services are available to spool reels, mount and boresight rifle scopes, cut arrows, tune bows in our 10-yard archery lane, and anything covered by your Firearm Service Plan. No matter the weather or time of year, we’ve got the seasonal accessories to fit your outdoor adventure. - RBRyne BerthelotOct 26, 20251.0Had a horrible experience purchasing a firearm from the Slidell, LA location. We had previously set up an appointment at 10 AM, Sunday Oct. 26 to purchase rifle. When my father and I made our way to the back counter, we were greeted by a gentleman named John Way. John handed the rifle to my father for inspection, who then handed the rifle to my for my own inspection. Mr. Way insisted he could not sell us the rifle to us, claiming that my father was just purchasing the rifle for me by proxy, because my father let me handle the rifle. I would strongly advise Sportsman’s Warehouse to retrain the firearms counter employees in customer service, etiquette, and understanding of the law.
