The SMSC Organics Recycling Facility (ORF), is an enterprise owned and operated by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC). We are part of the SMSC’s focus on being a good steward of the earth.
At the ORF, we recycle organic materials —like paper, food, and yard waste—from residential, commercial and municipal customers. Then, we craft a nutrient-rich, natural fertilizer for gardening, farming, landscaping and more. We also process wood to be used as mulch and a renewable energy source. Our Dakotah Roots products are available for retail and wholesale.

- SSSheilaMay 20, 20214.0I had under 100lbs, so I didn't get anything for the 60lbs of metal. I had a flat screen tv, which you have to pay for them to take by the pound. I went to pay, they don't take cards. I joked, since I gave you 60lbs of metal will you take the screen....no smile from the office, just a flat no. The guy who unloaded the metal was very nice. I'm sure the office guy was under pressure... just not pleasant.
