  Allasha has a great, friendly demeanor. And her urgency to serve the customer is impressive. Allasha was the single cashier and runner when I visited the UTC La Jolla location, and she quickly jumped between both registers to take customer orders as quickly as possible. She did so with a smile and warmth. I was a retail store manager for 15 years, and the customer service behaviors I witnessed from Allasha today made me take notice. If I still ran stores, I’d offer her a job.

  Warning: these burgers might ruin all other burgers for you!” I walked in thinking I’d grab a quick bite… now I’m seriously considering moving in. The burger was so good I forgot my phone, my name, and possibly my life responsibilities. Perfectly juicy, the bun was soft like a cloud sent from the heavens, and the fries? Let’s just say they could win a beauty contest. The staff were friendlier ( Kelsey )than my own family — one even smiled like they just got promoted If you’re on a diet, come here anyway. You’ll regret not eating here way more than the calories. 10/10, would trade my salad for this any day

  I had a wonderful experience! The meal was delicious, but the best part was the excellent service provided by Zoe. It was my first time in the U.S, and since my spoken English is still improving, she patiently and clearly explained all the options, always giving precise answers and making sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit to Smashburger.

  First time costumers at smashburger, location was awesome and Ms.Allasha was super helpful taking our order. Unfortunately someone else made our milkshake and when we tasted our oreo milkshake it tasted expired!- we alerted Allasha and she immediately offered to remake it, the milkshake she made herself was geniunely the best oreo shake i’ve ever had and she made it so aesthetic!!! She’s the BEST. def coming back!!

  Holy crap this place has 4.9 stars⭐ like how??. So I ordered the double spicy jalapeno smash burger added avocado. Straight to the point and let's be truthful I had high expectations of the spicy jalapeno smashburger but to my surprise zero spiciness like no kick like heat level from 1 to 5 it was not even a 1 and I wish I was kidding, I'm Mexican so I should know and I can take spicy food. The temperature of the burger was unbearable I burnt my tongue! Okay next thing I notice right off the bat super super greasy food I mean my patties must have been cooked with a tub of lard! Arties felt they were getting a workout while eating,Disgusting! 🤮.. I'm thinking well it's greasy My second bite there's still no spiciness on my food well let's see if at least tastes good right? Surprise the food is flavorless!!! The only thing I could taste seriously was the grease, I could not taste the spices on the patties I cannot taste the cheese I mean I couldn't even taste the spicy aioli it had in it.The only good thing about my burger was the Avocado 🥑 it was creamy. Man go somewhere else $15 bucks just for the burger no sides or fries and they ask for a tip if you want to leave a tip before you pay, like tip for what for making my food?? Smashburger in La Jolla if I could give you no stars I would. Never again. I'll leave pictures for reference.
