- HCHunter ColemanMar 2, 20251.0Been trying to remove a Mazda rx 5 from portal now for bout week I don’t even own a Mazda I own own a ford escape and they still haven’t removed it from last time I called in on the 26th of February ,whenever I do call I’m giving no option to talk to live representative. And still don’t know that status of an installation report made to dmv to obtain my driving privileges again this was my step and giving no further instructions.

What do I need to bring to my installation?
Bring a photo ID and proof of residence in the form of a document verifying your address. How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.
What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
Can I unplug my Ignition Interlock?
Check with your state authority to see if you are allowed to unplug your Ignition Interlock before doing so.
Can someone else drive my car?
Yes, but whoever is driving the vehicle MUST take a breath test and pass before driving. Any failed test will still be your responsibility.
