    Don't try and get ahold of customer service when your 3 days away from getting your device removed cause you will spend hours on hold before you get ahold of someone

How long does the Ignition Interlock installation take?

Ignition Interlock installation will usually only take a couple of hours. Smart Start recommends blocking off at least two hours for your appointment. At some locations, you may be able to drop your vehicle off and pick it back up once installation is complete.Please note that installation time can vary depending on the make and model of your vehicle, and may take longer for electric and hybrid vehicles. What do I need to bring to my installation?

Bring a photo ID and proof of residence in the form of a document verifying your address. You may also be asked to bring any documents that pertain to your case, depending on the state in which you or your program are located. If any other documents are required, one of our friendly Program Advisors will let you know.
