- OWOwen WApr 11, 20251.0If I could go back id drive all the way to erie to get my vehicle serviced. If I could go back I wouldn't even choose smart start to begin with. After getting the device removed there was still a wire sticking out and it took a whole month of me fighting to get him to look at it. I messaged on about 7 different days and it just seemed like i was being avoided because "he has a towing company". It created issues with my car to which I ended up having to fix myself. I dont believe this guy knows as much as he thinks. He had no problem giving my car back to me while it still had an error message showing on the dash. Dont choose smart start, they are a horrible company. Don't choose morrison automotive, they're a waste of time and energy.

What do I need to bring to my installation?
Bring a photo ID and proof of residence in the form of a document verifying your address. You may also be asked to bring any documents that pertain to your case, depending on the state in which you or your program are located. How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.
What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
Can I unplug my Ignition Interlock?
Check with your state authority to see if you are allowed to unplug your Ignition Interlock before doing so.
Can someone else drive my car?
Yes, but whoever is driving the vehicle MUST take a breath test and pass before driving. Any failed test will still be your responsibility.
