I waited a week for appointing. When I arrived at the installation, I was informed that the installation would cost $ 200 extra since I have a non-standard car (BMW X6 2011) and he does not know anything about any discounts. And then the fun began, I started to call those support ... .. To call them is a whole adventure, which took me more than an hour, as a result of which I was switched to text messages. I explained that when filling out the questionnaire, I indicated both the make of the car and the fact that I have a voucher. As a result, they switched to standby mode and hung up 2 times. It took more than 6 hours to find out, and as a result, I did not receive a discount on the installation and I was not given a free month without giving a reason. I had to install it with them, because in a couple of days I am leaving for the New Year holidays. Strongly not recommend !!!!!

I couldn't be more happier they all worked well together as a team and got my car done in a jiffy. They certainly know what there doing I was scheduled at two different places one didn't have part and never told me then I was sent 40 mins out of my way to R&S in palos hills and the guy told me to wait at a bar down the road from 11:30am -5pm till he was done. He never even touched my car. So smart start gave me credit and I called M&M and made appointment on my own and they were super fast in getting me in and getting me on the road. If your in illinois and relatively close to River Grove this is the place you need to go to don't waste your time with other places Mario and his team are top notch professionals.

What do I need to bring to my installation?
Bring a photo ID and proof of residence in the form of a document verifying your address. You may also be asked to bring any documents that pertain to your case, depending on the state in which you or your program are located. How do I know if Smart Start's devices are compliant with my program?

How often does my Ignition Interlock Device need to be serviced?

What do I need for removal?
Requirements will differ by state, but generally your state authority must grant removal authorization before you can have your IID removed. You will then need to fill out the Device Removal Request form on our website and upload any official documentation that may be required to authorize the removal.
Do I need an Interlock Device on all of my vehicles?
Some states will require that you have an Ignition Interlock Device installed on all cars registered to you, but most states will just require that whichever vehicle you drive have an IID installed. Check with your state authority to see if you will need an IID installed on all of your cars.

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.
What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
Can I unplug my Ignition Interlock?
Check with your state authority to see if you are allowed to unplug your Ignition Interlock before doing so.
Can someone else drive my car?
Yes, but whoever is driving the vehicle MUST take a breath test and pass before driving. Any failed test will still be your responsibility.
