- NMNichole MadisonMar 6, 20251.0Smart start is quite honestly very unsafe. You never know when the alarm will go off to provide a sample. It typically goes off y an unsafe time, while driving. Be it a round-a-bout, trying to focus on on-coming traffic, etc. And the amount of times it throws "errors" at you is absurd! Mostly in colder weather. I'd get "abort tamper" alerts MULTIPLE times, when all I was trying to do was start my car in the morning for the day. Very frustrating and time consuming. I understand the need for the product and what it intends to do, but so many things could be changed or improved. At times, it's a nuisance, and again, unsafe.
