They say they're going to do things, then don't take notes on what they said they would do, causing confusion. I explained the situation to Daniel from the call center and he efficiently solved my problem. He was professional and listened to what I told him and walked me through the process of fixing the issue. Marcello is someone who apparently is a supervisor there but he's either afraid of interacting with customers, lacks the skillset to problem solve, or is just lazy because I was told several times by someone named Celeste that he wouldn't let her transfer me to him. He even told her she could transfer me to him, I asked her if it would go to Marcello's voice-mail. She told me he assured her that it wouldn't and then I was transferred to his voice-mail. Daniel should probably train Marcello since apparently he lacks the ability to do Daniel's job.

What do I need to bring to my installation?
Bring a photo ID and proof of residence in the form of a document verifying your address. You may also be asked to bring any documents that pertain to your case, depending on the state in which you or your program are located. How do I know if Smart Start's devices are compliant with my program?

How often does my Ignition Interlock Device need to be serviced?

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.
What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
Can I unplug my Ignition Interlock?
Check with your state authority to see if you are allowed to unplug your Ignition Interlock before doing so.
Can someone else drive my car?
Yes, but whoever is driving the vehicle MUST take a breath test and pass before driving. Any failed test will still be your responsibility.
