- TGTyler GonzalezSep 11, 20241.0Went here to get calibrated. He didn’t change the date for 30 days later and it went off again 10 days later. When I called into smart start they told me to go back to shop they couldn’t help. Went back to shop and they didn’t know what to do. Long story short, they recalibrated again and then charged me $104 and smart start won’t refund. A bunch of scammers! Went back to get it removed before I found out smart start won’t refund me and they charged $135 for that also. Stay away, will just end up with issues that you have to pay more money for.

Bring a photo ID and proof of residence in the form of a document verifying your address. How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.
What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
Can I unplug my Ignition Interlock?

Can someone else drive my car?
Yes, but whoever is driving the vehicle MUST take a breath test and pass before driving. Any failed test will still be your responsibility.
