What a complete.waste of time. They missed scheduled appointment to measure, plan and fit new fireplace. No follow up calls. Had to track them down twice and supplied photos by text and phone call on our part, then we drop by in area to just talk about possible installation since they are 1 hr away and we were in area for dr appt.and the guy just tells us its just easier to go to a shop that has our old model and replace it with that. And since the model is over 25 yrs old how likely an exact fit he suggest we pursue at another store likely? and how professional or helpful is that? Guess they definitely don't want our business....talked with 4 people in the end and not one seemed committed to install the model we chose and that we were ready to pay for immediately.
Why not say that 3 weeks ago.

How do I know which fireplace is right for my home?
Selecting the appropriate fireplace depends on several factors, such as your home's layout, heating requirements, financial considerations, and personal preferences. Gas fireplaces offer efficiency and low maintenance, wood fireplaces provide a classic ambiance, pellet stoves are environmentally friendly and cost-effective, while electric fireplaces offer versatility and easy installation. For expert guidance in making this decision, we invite you to visit our showroom or contact us directly.
Can you install a fireplace in a home that doesn't currently have one?
Absolutely. Our expertise extends to both new fireplace installations and retrofits. For homes without existing fireplaces, we can discuss various options including vented and vent-free systems, necessary electrical or gas line requirements, and design choices to enhance your living space. Our comprehensive service covers everything from initial design consultation to professional installation.
What are the benefits of upgrading my current fireplace?
Upgrading your fireplace can yield improvements in efficiency, safety, and aesthetics. Modern models offer enhanced energy efficiency, potentially reducing heating costs, and incorporate advanced safety features. Newer options, such as electric fireplaces, can significantly transform your living area, enhancing both comfort and property value. We can assist you in exploring upgrade options tailored to your specific requirements.
How long does a fireplace installation take?
Installation duration varies based on the fireplace type and project complexity. As a general guideline: electric and gas fireplaces typically require one day for installation. Wood and pellet stoves may take one to three days, depending on venting and masonry work needed. Custom-built fireplace projects can extend from several days to a few weeks, contingent on design and construction requirements.
Do you offer chimney inspections and cleanings?
Indeed, we do. Regular chimney inspections and cleanings are crucial for fireplace safety and efficiency. Our professional team conducts thorough inspections and maintenance to prevent chimney fires and carbon monoxide accumulation. EPA research suggests that up to 70% of chimney smoke can re-enter your home and neighboring residences, underscoring the importance of regular maintenance. We recommend annual inspections for all fireplace types to ensure optimal performance and safety.
What should I do if my gas fireplace won't ignite?
If your gas fireplace fails to ignite, try these steps: verify that the gas valve is open, ensure the pilot light is lit (if applicable), replace batteries in the remote or wall switch, and check that the thermostat or wall switch is functioning correctly. If these measures don't resolve the issue, please contact us for professional service. Our team offers comprehensive fireplace diagnostics and repairs to ensure your system operates safely and efficiently.
Do you service fireplaces that you didn't install?
Yes, we provide maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting services for all fireplace brands and models, regardless of whether we installed them or not. If you're experiencing performance issues, need cleaning, or want an inspection for peace of mind, our experienced technicians are available to assist you.
Are gas fireplaces safe to use?
When properly installed and maintained, modern gas fireplaces are indeed safe. They come equipped with safety features such as oxygen depletion sensors, automatic shut-off valves, and glass safety barriers to prevent accidents. To ensure continued safe operation, regular inspections and proper ventilation are essential. We offer comprehensive safety checks and maintenance services to address any concerns you may have.
How can I make my fireplace more energy-efficient?
Several strategies can enhance your fireplace's efficiency and heat output: consider upgrading to a high-efficiency fireplace insert, install glass doors to minimize heat loss, add a blower or fan system for improved heat distribution, ensure your chimney is properly sealed and draft-free, and schedule regular maintenance to maintain peak performance. We can assist you in identifying the most suitable energy-saving solutions for your specific fireplace needs.
