    Had a pleasant experience. I wrote an earlier review, expressing disappointment but I turned out to be wrong (incorrect # of days applied to rental) and all turned out great. Carlos at front desk was great. Art from pre-sales/sales team was phenomenal. For those who are traveling to the US and need a car, checkout Sixt. Hey Sixt, add me to your promoter list and I'd be thrilled to increase your NPS, one op at a time. Response to Jan: Absolutely! I have officially divorced Hertz!

    Everyone is great expect for Juan. He is very rude, sarcastic, disrespectful and just overall a horrible person. He made my experience horrible the last time around even though I’ve been renting cars with sixt for over a year now before I ran into him… A person like him should never represent SIXT.

    ⭐ 1 Star Date of Experience: June 23, 2025 Location: SIXT Rent a Car Miami Doral (Located in: InterContinental at Doral Miami by IHG) Manager: Juan Cardobar I’ve been a loyal customer of SIXT for several months, but what happened on June 23rd was the worst experience I’ve ever had with any rental company. I called ahead to extend my rental, and was told to "come on in"—only to arrive and be kicked out of the car with my kids, despite bringing all hospital documents as proof of our emergency. Manager Juan Cardobar was completely unprofessional and cold-hearted. He deliberately placed me on a security block list with no explanation. I was in tears explaining that I had no other form of transportation and needed to return to my sick mother in the hospital. His response? “ Find other means of transportation.” Thank God for David Aqui, the only compassionate employee there—he helped call an Uber for me and my children to get back to the hospital. I immediately went to Thrifty Car Rental at Fort Lauderdale Airport, where I received excellent customer service and a fair rate. Until Juan Cardobar is removed from his position, I will never return to this location. The way he treated me and my family was disgraceful. No family should ever be humiliated or left stranded like that.

    I’ve been a Sixt Diamond member for years and have rented cars across the U.S. and internationally. I have never been treated as poorly and unprofessionally as I was at the Sixt Doral/Intercontinental location. I arrived with a confirmed reservation and found no staff at the counter. After waiting 20 minutes, I finally located an employee sitting in a car, vaping and talking on the phone. Instead of helping, he continued vaping and ignored me. Eventually, a second agent came to assist others, while I continued to be left waiting. When I politely asked for help, the agent who finally responded a manager named "The Juan" was hostile and aggressive, and shockingly told me I was “not in the condition to drive.” I had just come from work. I do not drink or smoke. The only one vaping was him. The accusation was baseless, insulting, and outrageous. When I asked for a car, he flat-out refused to rent me one, making it clear he didn’t care. No explanation, no accountability just pure arrogance and disrespect. I ended up wasting over 5 hours of my day, spending more than $100 in Uber rides, and experiencing unnecessary stress, humiliation, and lost work time. This location is an embarrassment to the Sixt brand. If this is how they treat loyal Diamond members, I can’t imagine how they treat everyday customers. Avoid this branch at all costs and think twice about renting from Sixt at all. You will probably see a reply from Sixt asking me to email their customer service. I have called and emailed many times and they do not help at all.
