- JJJillSep 29, 20251.0We previously used SiteOne’s DIY sprinkler design program at our last house and had no issues. That’s why we trusted them again. Big mistake. We paid our fee and dropped off our sprinkler design packet on August 28th. On September 8th, the designer told us we were “next on his list.” That turned out to be a flat-out lie. Weeks went by with no communication—no returned calls, no replies to multiple emails. Because of this silence, we lost two contractors who were ready to pull line. On September 23rd, I even sent an email with clear deadlines for response. No acknowledgment. Nothing. Finally, on September 26th, the designer actually answered the phone—and admitted he hadn’t even started our project. He couldn’t explain why he had said we were next, because clearly we weren’t. His excuse? Maybe he could throw a quote together “in a couple of days,” but couldn’t even come measure until October 8th. That’s over a month of delays, all caused by their lack of honesty and professionalism. Bottom line: SiteOne wasted our time, cost us contractors, and pushed back our entire project. If they had just communicated, we could have planned accordingly. Instead, we got ignored, misled, and brushed off. We won’t be using them again, and I strongly suggest you don’t either.
