Our 8 month old puppy was there for the longest time frame; 13 days while we would have been fine with the shortest, the 5 day session. Learning to use the clicker and collar is the key component, we getting the basics on picking our dog up and continuing to learn as the weeks go by. We were expecting more training but did not get that. We like the method but believe the five day course is optimal and understand that the training is ongoing and will come from my wife and I.

Oh my…. What to say…. My spouse was very skeptical when I told her I wanted to do this for our new puppy. We knew she was smart, but it was a lot of money. John was absolutely amazing. He isn’t your typical dog trainer. He lives out in the country which was perfect for us being that our property has no fences and it’s 4 acres. We did the 16 day board and train. When I picked her up I was really nervous, but John was patient with me and answered all my questions. I was with Remi about 2 days and then he met me up at the Lowe’s for a private lesson. She did great, and it gave me some time to figure out the commands and for John to be able to see my style with her and to correct me on how to keep Remi on tract. I am happy to say she is a new dog. Don’t go into this expecting a complete transformation. Go into it expecting that you will have a wonderful, strong platform to build on. He gave me the necessary tools to help Remi be successful. I would do this again in a heart beat.

Daisy was sent to sit means sit training with John after being told by another dog trainer that they couldn’t train Daisy and was actually kicked out of a pet store.. after being sent to John at sit means sit we now have taken her into different stores including the one that she was kicked out of and saw the trainer who actually said they couldn’t train her while checking out! I asked the trainer knowing they didn’t remember us and asked about training and if they would consider her and they said yes she’s well behaved and seems like she would do good in training! I said thank you and walked out! Didn’t feel the need to remind them who we were and that they previously denied her! It does feel reassuring that a training once saying no to Daisy to say yes to her after she’s spent time with John.. He can take on task that others deem to difficult! She’s better at home and again has been inside of couple different stores with zero issues! My wife Brittnie Valentine and myself want to thank John with Sit Means Sit Abilene/San Angelo Dog Training!!! Update: one year later and now Daisy is off leash in the front yard!!! Thanks so much!!

We can't even begin to put into words what John has done for us through Sit Means Sit. We thought we were at the point where we would have to get rid of one of our three dogs and so we called John after trying numerous other things to help. WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID! John has taught us how to work with our dogs properly and helped us work through the different stages of training. Before John we couldn't even have two of our dogs in the same room as each other and now they are playing together! We couldn't get our puppy to listen to anything and with John's help he has really taken to training and isn't a handful anymore. The board and train option was extremely useful as it gave our dogs a baseline for training that we wouldn't have had the time to do. If you are looking for quality dog training this is it!
