    So far not a good experience! I had a small move that I thought would fit in the back of my car, but I didn’t account for keeping the second row as seating. I had about 6 totes, a skinny dresser, two trash cans (empty), and a larger air fryer that didn’t fit. I was so happy to find a company that “specializes” in small moves since it all probably would’ve fit in a U-Haul trailer, but I don’t trust myself to drive one. I was able to submit and receive a quote and schedule pick up in less than 30 minutes. They asked when I would like my shipment delivered, and I was ecstatic that they had options for the week after pick up! Well I should’ve let my instincts win on this one. My order was picked up on 9/11 (outsourced to a local mover that did great!), and I didn’t even get the final updated contract til 9/22. Not a contract for price mind you, purely for insurance. I emailed Donna (the listed email contact) asking when my shipment was expected since it had already passed the preferred delivery date. Immediately hit with an “out of office until” auto response, but it was just til the next day. She did respond the next day saying it was “in the packing process” and they’ll “contact me once it’s ready to go over final price and ETA.” 10/9, almost a full month since pick up, and no further communication. I emailed Donna again this morning and was once again hit with an out of office response. This time til next Monday. Coincidentally enough that’s when I start the new job I moved for, and I have no shoes to wear! And I will definitely be repeating the same outfit for the first few days. Why would I prioritize packing them when the shipment was gonna be here before I started?? I prioritized packing the heavier stuff so it would be less expensive to ship. So all in all we’ll see when or if I get a response or even my shipment! And I have a suspicion that they are gonna jack up the price. Very shady to only weigh AFTER they’ve added heavy wooden pallets.

    I had a really bad experience with Smart Ship, to be honest. During the initial estimate, the quoted price was significantly cheaper than what I was actually charged when it came time to ship— the cost increased by about 40%. Additionally, I had to wait over a month for my boxes to even be shipped. Once they were finally shipped, I was told they would arrive within 7–14 days, but in total, I ended up waiting around 40–50 days. Despite the unexpected delays and price increase, the company didn’t offer any form of compensation, such as a discount or alternative shipping options. Their lack of accountability and poor communication were extremely frustrating. I’m very disappointed with their service, and if you’re considering using them, be sure to clarify all costs and timelines upfront to avoid a similar experience.

    Awesome experience. I talked to real people at each turn, and they answered any and all questions I had regarding my furniture shipment to Hawaii. Pick up was great, and the crew they had was fabulous! My items got to their destination sooner than expected, I was very happy. Would use again!

    I was promised a quote within 24 hrs of my initial phone call. Several calls and 72hr business days later, still no quote. I then told them not to bother and was immediately sent a very expensive quote. I had call Arrow Express in the meantime and received a quote within 10 mins for only 20% of what Shipa Smart charged me. Arrow Express responded immediately and were true to their original quote.
