    This review reflects an initially frustrating experience that was ultimately resolved with clear communication and dedicated customer service. We shipped five items using Ship Smart's white-glove service. Initially, we received an estimate, and my sister sent the five items. However, after shipping, we were informed of a significant price increase due to the option of crating. This unexpected adjustment felt unfair and left me questioning the transparency of the process. Despite our dissatisfaction, we decided to proceed. The items arrived in excellent condition, and the moving company outsourced by Ship Smart handled the delivery well. However, upon arrival, the movers informed me that the white-glove service did not include assembly. While they generously offered to assemble the items for free, I declined, as it was not part of what we paid for. This was disappointing, as I expected assembly to be included given the premium price of the white-glove service. Ship Smart’s customer service team, however, made a significant effort to address the issue. Ana Mayer, the agent who handled our concerns, provided an excellent explanation of the miscommunication and worked diligently to resolve the matter. Her professionalism and clear communication went above and beyond, ensuring the situation was clarified to my satisfaction. Her help was critical in salvaging an otherwise frustrating experience, and I truly appreciate the effort she put into resolving our concerns.

    This review is pending, I have yet to receive my shipment. This is my first time using a moving company. I am moving from Phoenix, AZ to Milwaukee WI. I looked into quite a few different companies but most don't deal with small shipments which was my case, as I am only moving a small studio, (400 sq feet) I did a video quote through my place and was quoted $1600. Like I said I have never done this before but I was happy with that quote. Then I went online to fill out my survey and file insurance with them. the price came out to be and extra $200 for insurance, great. I get them scheduled to come out a week early because the lady I spoke with told me it takes about 3/4 weeks to complete and I wanted to plan a three week trip to Milwaukee and wanted to be there when it arrived. The company that came to pick up all the bins and the rest of my things was nice and kindly guided me through what happens next.... I waited a week with no word so I called the company that came to pick up my things and they said everything was ready for ShipSmart to come pick it up and I should hear from them in a few days...... I waited another week which would put us at two weeks since pick up, my card hadn't been charged and no one was giving my any information on where my stuff was?! The lady I talked with that day said she was going to get back to me by the end of the day or next.... then nothing! I didn't hear from them... (now we are at 3 weeks from pickup) So I call them again, same story they will call me back.... Finally mid week this week I hear from someone (we are now at 3.5 weeks since pickup), they say they are ready to go, making sure my card info was right and to tell me that NOW MY COST IS $2600! That is $1000 more then they quoted me! And there is nothing I can do that have all my things, and Im in Milwaukee, and they tell me that it 7-10 business days from point of shipment (which isn't even that day, its late this week or next) to get to me, which means at least two more weeks and sadly I am out of town. I told all of these things to the lady on the other end of the phone and she seemed like she had heard it 100 times before. And made me feel that it was my fault... I decided not to expedited shipment, which was way more expensive and my timeline was pretty flexible, I had a few extra bins then we originally discussed (I choose Medium-small size bins because I needed to lift them)... They lady told me and I was under the impression that I would have my things to me in 3-4 weeks which is why I planned this trip on these dates, not 6 weeks!, that costed me money! On top of that I have to inconvenience my friends and family to meet the driver at my destination to unload the truck. And lastly quoted my $1000 less then what I will actually pay. Disappointment! All and All this experience has been a headache to say the least with bad communication. I would recommend looking somewhere different if you have higher expectations of customer service! I feel very taken advantage of! I read some reviews before booking with this company and they seemed good, but under further investigation they are way below average. I'm worried about the condition my stuff will be in when its gets here. I will follow up once my things arrive. I just wanted to make aware anyone who was considering using this company!

    I unexpectedly found myself in a situation where I was faced with pulling off a cross-country move in a matter of about five weeks. Being very conscious of budget, I was pleased to learn I could use Ship Smart to transport a few of my larger belongings that I did not want to replace without it costing a fortune if only I was willing to accept a longer ship time. I'm happy to report that it was worth the wait. Some of my most valuable possessions, my bed, my television, and all of my dishes and glassware, were handled by Ship Smart with the utmost of care and were both picked up and delivered by skilled professionals. The estimated time from pick-up to delivery was exactly what had been initially communicated to me when I received my estimate, and on the delivery end I was called and kept updated on the status of my things when there was a slight change to the timetable. I don't know if I'll be doing another long-distance move any time soon, but if so, I would not hesitate to call Ship Smart again!
