Dear Scott,
We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge our immense gratitude to you for taking up our cause. The devastation wrought by water damage to our dream house compounded by the treatment we suffered at the hands of our insurance company blind to our sorrow and deaf to our plea for fairness left us no recourse but to seek redress.
In our search for a lawyer your name came up several times. We called you, you responded immediately, set up a meeting in a coffee shop where over coffee and tea, encouraged by your warm demeanor we described our grievances. You listened, you asked questions, you took up our cause.
You requested pictures of the water damage, family pictures, personal letters expressing our sorrow, describing our lives. We admired your attention to detail, your patience, your integrity in assessing the case. Imperceptibly the lawyer-client relationship gradually deepened to a true friendship. We knew we were in capable hands, we knew you cared for us a couple in their mid-to late seventies.
Our complete trust in you was justified when during mediation we discovered another facet of you, the LAWYER. With great tact, civility, perseverance, persistence and command of the law you fought for us till victory. The mediator's respect for you was evident. In the court of men you won a difficult case, more importantly in the heavenly tribunal there was rejoicing for "justice, justice" you had pursued.
