Disappointing First Impression
I recently helped my child move into this complex, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing, especially considering the price. While the apartments are adequate, they are not as nice as they appear in photos. The unit we moved into had a number of issues, including dirty carpets, mold in the bathroom, and a cheap shower head with hard water stains. Several drawers were also partially broken.
The room itself felt cramped. Although the double bed is a good size, it takes up most of the space. Storage is a major problem—the room has even less than a typical dorm, so you'll definitely need to bring your own. The under-bed drawers are small and don't make good use of the available space, and the "closet" is just a small nook without a door. The trash shoot are is disgusting, dirty, smelly, sticky, I really doubt anyone cleans it.
The move-in process was also not a great experience. The staff seemed disinterested and acted as if they were doing us a favor.
Hidden Costs & Fees
For such a high price point, you'd expect more transparency and fewer fees. I was surprised to find they nickel and dime you for basic services. They charge a $1.95 fee for ACH/e-check payments, with the only alternative being a paper check. They also charge a separate fee of about $7 to report monthly rent payments for credit reporting. Additionally, most utilities are not included; as far as I can tell, only internet and trash are covered.
Overall, the cost does not align with the quality of the apartment or the service provided. The experience has been frustrating, and I hope this review helps others set their expectations accordingly.
