Experience went from good to okay to terrible. Dealer confirmed, in writing, they would reimburse me for lost costs due to their own error, and when the time came, decided they'd rather ghost me and hope I go away.
For background, I was on the hunt for a rarish car, and ended up finding the right model/trim out of state. Logan was very communicative and responsive during the negotiation process. I ended up moving forward with the purchase, and began working on an agreed date to fly out to take the car. Fast forward, after purchasing non-refundable tickets for our agreed upon date, and after the 24 hour deadline to cancel and get refunded, I was informed the car would not be ready in time, due to the service department ordering the wrong part to fix a broken sunroof. Dealership claims it was an error on GM's part, but at this point I'm not sure if I trust that. Regardless, I was told in writing that the dealership would cover the costs, given that I could not get refunded or credit.
When I finally came to pick up the car, I was told by Wade Rader that they would need to "research" the reimbursement. Given my need to drive back to my home state, I was not in a position to sit around and wait. Instead, I supplied proof of purchase for the airfare, and went on my way, trusting they would do the right thing and send a check promptly. One week later, and I've heard no response back after two follow up emails.
In addition, the condition of the car was not communicated accurately prior to me taking possession. Not only is there water and physical damage in the headliner that wasn't communicated during my inquiry, the car was given to me with the driver-side floor mat missing. For the cherry on top, the passenger side blind spot monitor stopped working within an hour of leaving the dealership. Due to my travel situation, I was not in a position to go back to the dealer and report these issues. Instead, I'm out even more money on this nightmare car buying experience.
In summary, I would not recommend taking anything this dealership says as trustworthy, and would certainly avoid buying here if you can.
